Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

We offer a range of solutions designed to meet your needs—whether you're just getting started or scaling something bigger. Everything is tailored to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

How can I contact the Steward?

The Steward is your main point of contact in the immediate lead up to and during the event.

If you need to make any changes or have any questions in the 24-48 hours before the event starts, or while you are on site, please contact the Steward directly.

You can call the Steward on 07444 750150 between 9am and 6pm.

Please only call outside of these hours if it is urgent.

What are the prices for visitors and additional guests?

We’re really happy for you to have visitors during your stay. As a District Association of the Camping and Caravanning Club, our aim is to promote and encourage social camping, keeping our events welcoming, fair, and sustainable for everyone.

Staying Overnight (Additional Adults)

If more than 2 adults are staying overnight in your unit:

  • There is an additional charge of £2 per adult, per night

  • This charge always applies

  • Any additional adults staying overnight must be members (unless THS sites — see below)

Day Visitors (Not Staying Overnight)

If you have visitors coming to see you during the day:

  • If there are no scheduled activities, and visitors are just coming to your pitch, there is usually no charge

  • If there are scheduled activities taking place, there is a charge of £5 per adult

The visitor charge applies on any day where organised activities are scheduled, regardless of what time you attend. This is because our stewards are unable to monitor who is attending activities and who is not.

What counts as “scheduled activities”?

This includes any organised activity where the DA has incurred additional costs, for example:

  • Live music or performers

  • Children’s entertainers

  • Organised games or activities

  • Easter hunts or similar events with prizes

These activities may take place during the day or evening.

Why the difference in charges?

We sometimes get asked why it costs more to visit on activity days than to stay overnight, especially when a pitch has already been paid for in full.

We completely understand this question.

These are two different types of attendance:

  • The £2 per night charge is for additional adults who are genuinely staying overnight on a pitch that has already been booked and paid for

  • The £5 charge is for day visitors attending during organised activity days

If you are attending on a day when activities are scheduled, you are classed as a day visitor, even if you are spending time on a friend’s pitch.

The visitor charge helps cover the additional costs to the DA for running activities, such as entertainers, equipment, prizes, and event organisation.

As a Club, we want to encourage people to stay, camp, and be part of the full experience, not just attend on activity days.

Guests who stay for multiple nights help support the whole event, including facilities, organisation, and activities, which allows us to continue running these meets for everyone to enjoy.

Important

Staying overnight should reflect genuine overnight use of the pitch.

Using the £2 overnight fee as a way to attend organised activity days instead of paying the visitor fee is not in line with how the event is intended to operate.

THS (Temporary Holiday Sites)

THS sites operate slightly differently:

  • Non-members may stay overnight in your unit at THS sites only

  • Charges for non-members vary by site

Please check the event listing or email eastkentda for details.
