With so many new members we thought it useful to re-share the EKDA camping rules which are designed to ensure that our members are safe and have the opportunity to enjoy their time at our events. They also provide assurance for landowners who allow us to camp with them that we will respect their premises. Download here.

The noticeable increase in EKDA camping is great news but it brings with it additional challenges managing bookings and payments. As you are aware, your committee are volunteers with busy lives and as such we need to simplify our procedures. We also need to resolve the problem of camper ‘no-shows’ which deny others the opportunity to camp at the busier meets.

Accelerated by the pandemic, online transactions are becoming the new norm and in line with this EKDA will be moving to online booking, starting with the upcoming New Year Meet and continuing into 2022. New Year 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗻𝗼𝘄 and events for 2022 will be added in the coming months.

Bookings can be made via our website www.eastkentda.com using the ‘Book Online’ tab on the top menu. Payment will be taken at the time of booking and you will receive a confirmation email with 2 attachments, one a pdf of your booking and the 2nd, a '.pkpass' for those who wish to add the ticket to the wallet app on their phones.

Payments are non-refundable unless due to exceptional circumstances, (such as medical conditions), and will be issued at the discretion of the committee. Should an event need to be cancelled a full refund will be issued.

Those without internet access can continue to use the paper booking form, posted to the address on the form. Additionally, for most events members will still be allowed to turn up and pay on the day if there are spaces, but we strongly recommend checking availability before you leave by calling the stewards phone (07444 750150).

Most importantly, starting with the New Year Meet, we will no longer accept bookings via the bookingseastkentda@gmail.com / ‘contact us’ on the website / Facebook comment / private message to a committee member or passing comment on the way out of a field… (you can see why we are having issues!).

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding, hopefully, this system will prove beneficial to both the committee and members alike.
