Beats, Bands & Barrels: A Weekend to Remember at the Farriers Arms
Our camping club enjoyed a long, unforgettable weekend at the Farriers Arms Music Festival, held from Thursday through Sunday in the heart of the Kent countryside. Set against the rustic charm of the historic Farriers Arms pub in Mersham, this year’s festival delivered a perfect mix of community spirit, fantastic music, and warm summer vibes.
Club members began arriving on Thursday to set up camp, turning the field behind the pub into a buzzing little village of caravans, awnings, and laughter. With the music kicking off on Friday evening, we wasted no time getting into the festival spirit.
Friday night featured high-energy performances from The Ibiza Band, who had everyone dancing with their upbeat pop and dance covers, and Marylebone Jelly, a crowd-pleasing favourite that brought the house down with their infectious energy and wide-ranging set list.
Saturday's sunshine brought even more highlights. The Jive Guys got things rolling at noon with their rockin’ doo-wop style, followed by standout sets from The REC Band and The Upsetters, who impressed the crowd with jaw-dropping vocals and three-part harmonies. As evening fell, Smokin’ Mavericks and The Bad Pandas kept the atmosphere electric, before Devils Punchbowl closed the night with roaring guitars and classic rock anthems.
Sunday’s mellow start was graced by Isaac Parker, whose soulful Americana-inspired set brought a touch of introspection to the final day. Gumboots Duo added a reggae rhythm that matched the sunshine perfectly, and Unit 48 closed the festival in style with funky tunes, big vocals, and a stage presence that had the whole field grooving.
A heartfelt thank you to the Farriers Arms team, the volunteers, the sound crew, and of course, all the amazing bands who made the weekend such a joy. We’re already looking forward to next year—same time, same place!
